Why Using Ebates.com Is The Smarter Way To Shop!

logo_7.2009_3I have been getting asked a lot about how EBATES.com works and if it legitimate. I use this site for every purchase I make online. Since joining I’ve earned back a little over $80. Here’s how it works:

Sign up and start browsing through the thousands of stores Ebates partners with and find some awesome coupon codes too! Click on the store of your choosing and it will redirect you to the stores website. Then shop!

How it works: Ebates partners with thousand’s of stores and then gives you a certain percentage for shopping with their partners!

A lot of the time stores have double cash back, which means you can earn even more while shopping online!

Here are some of my favorite stores and their cash back rate:

  • Sephora 4% (right now it is doubled at 8%)
  • Clinique 4% (right now it is doubled at 8%)
  • Straight Talk ‘up to’ 13.5% ($23.50 Cash Back on phones $149.99 or more 13.50% Cash Back on phones less than $149.99 or SIM cards)
  • Aerie 2%
  • iTunes 7%

I hope this helps you have confidence in using Ebates!

Walmart Beauty Box Reveal/Review

A few weeks ago, Walmart finally came out with a seasonal subscription box. Target has one that comes out only a couple times a year, and it sells out within minutes normally and cost $7 to get. The Walmart box is a measly $5 and is supposed to come out every season, so roughly 4 times a year. So far, the availability has been amazing and almost everyone I know that signs up for it, gets it. They make 2 different boxes: a beauty bundle and a baby box. I opted for the beauty one, because I do not have any children (do my dogs count?).

002003This box came with in a week of me ordering it, which is really fast! I was really surprised when I opened the box though to see a good variety and large samples. My husband was actually even surprised! Everyone’s box was a little different from what I have seen, but the contents of my box include: a sample of Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday perfume, CoverGirl nail polish in the shade #After Dark, Dove Oxygen Moisture shampoo/conditioner & Dove Pure Care dry oil, Secret Clinical Strength deoderant, a sample of YouthCode Pore Vanisher by L’Oreal, a full sized L’Oreal Glossy Balm lip crayon, and a sample of Neutragena Nourishing Long Wear Make-up.

It was so wonderful out, I had to take these outside! So here is how it works, you sign up and enter your address/credit card info to pay for the shipping cost ($5). Walmart sends you the box of your choosing (beauty or baby), and you get charged every few months the $5 shipping cost so they can send out the next one! It’s that simple.

Me personally, I will be keeping this for as long as Walmart will keep it going. I feel like it is a much better value (and availability) versus the Target box. What do you think of this box? Did you get one of the first Walmart boxes? Let me down below your thoughts and share youre boxes with me on Twitter and Facebook!

Hyaluronic Acid Age Delay Serum With Vitamin C + Green Tea Review

Morea Naturals graciously sent me their Hyaluronic Acid Age Delay Serum With Vitamin C + Green Tea for review. To be honest, I have never heard of Morea Naturals until now.

“This serum is great for busy women who want to pack a powerful punch of ingredients into one product. Also great for organic minded women. Hyaluronic acid is known for its proven ability to reverse the signs of aging. This silky smooth formula is loaded with antioxidants Vitamin C and Green Tea to promote collagen production and protect your skin from UV damage. “

I have used other products that contain Vitamin C, and they work extremely well for acne. Believe it or not, anti-aging creams or washes are actually good substitutes for regular acne washes! So I tried this after my regular routine of washing my face and using a toner. I was really happy to see it wasn’t a cream but a gel (serum). These absorb into my skin a lot better versus creams that seem to sit on top of my skin. I used this for a week before typing this out, and to be honest my results weren’t like WOW, but I felt like my skin was more.. full? I’m not sure if that makes sense. But, my skin feels good to me, and to be honest as woman that’s really what most of us want: is to feel good! Plus, this unique formula is so safe and effective, it passed the rigorous standards to be sold at Whole Foods.

• Paraben Free
• 72% Organic
• Cruelty Free ♡ (YAY!)
• Airless Pump Bottle Keeps Ingredients Potent

What makes this serum better than all the others?
• Instantly plump fine lines while reducing the appearance of wrinkles gradually
• Add intense moisture to dry skin
• Instant glowing complexion
• Improve appearance of dark under eye circles
• Safe for all skin types including sensitive skin

I recommend this product for sure! Even if you just like putting products on your face to make your skin feel nice! My favorite things about this product are the green tea solutions and that it is cruelty free!
What do you think of this product? Do you happen to use this yourself, or will you in the future? Let me know below!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

MemeBox is a montly subscription box from Korea! It features High end makeup/skin care items from Korea. Recently, the good people at Memebox gave me the chance to review one of their boxes! I couldn’t have been more thrilled because I have heard Koren beauty products are a must! I actually didn’t expect to get this so soon because there was a delivery issue that I had just fixed last night. (So props to DHL Shipping for getting this package to me in an amazing timely matter!)

Unlike other monthy subscriptions, MemeBox offers many different themed boxes for you to chose from. The regular Memeboxes come with a mixture of 4-8 full sized products and deluxe samples. The Superbox comes with FULL SIZED products! The prices for box range from $23 +shipping thru $32 +shipping. I actually think there might be ones that are a little bit more, but for as far as I could see this was the price range for the current boxes. Also to my excitement, they seemed to have really stuck to a Halloween theme with their products. And boy do I love Halloween!

Do keep in mind that if you order these, they are coming from Korea and can take up to 20 days to get to your doorstep!

The box I recieved was MemeBox Superbox #43 F/W Colors. This box retails for $23 (+s&h). Unfortunately, this box is currently sold out on their website, but the products should be featured in the shop!

1. Shara Shara Fairy’s Perfume Nail VL01 in Lilac Bora (Retail Value: $4)
005HOW CUTE IS THIS PACKAGING? I would buy out this brand’s colors just for the packaging. It really is a very pretty shimmery purple color. I’ve really been into purples lately (I just dyed my hair purple actually) and this is a nice little addition to help my purple addiction.

2. DD’ell Stay Forever Gel Eye Pencil in Garden Light & Twilight Purple (Retail Value: $14 each)
019020I can never get enough purple things! Especially eye pencils. I have brown eyes so these colors are a great addition to my collection. They glided on so smoothly, and those swatches on my hand actually stayed put even with me doing dishes all day! I must say, I think I love these more than my Mally eye pencils I just got!

3. DD’ell Illumination Eye Shadow in Shimmer Green (Retail Value: $11)
006007008You’re probably wondering how this really pertains to anything about Halloween, but I promise you these box is themed for the holiday! The green is a witchy kind of green! I’m not really a green eyeshadow fan, but this color is really hard to not love. It is very pigmented and light and I adore it. If you are going to spend the money on a higher end eyeshadow, I would recommend this over other well known brands.

4.Witch’s Pouch Love Me Blusher in Sexy Swan (Retail Value: $14)
011012013I am trying to figure out how Meme got such a perfect box for me! I have some pretty red cheeks and I can never find a blush that will blend properly. This is my dream color! Normally (for me anyway) most blushes feel a little grainy, this is definitely nothing like those. It even comes with a little brush that hides underneath the compact! its actually a really cool concept for storing the brush!

5. YADAH Angel Lip Tint in Red Wine-Gromwell (Retail Value: $8)
009010I’m not really a red person, but I have to say when it is in a lip tint, it is much more appealing. For anyone that loves Benefit’s BeneTint will love this. This is exactly the same formula for a little bit cheaper!

6. Witch’s Pouch POPO Lipstick in Burgundy Wine (Retail Value: $12)
014016017I saved my favorite product for last. The LIPSTICK! I wasn’t expecting to love this color as much as I do because generally, I stay away from red-ish colors. (I’m not daring enough to walk out in such colors!) I guess call my old fashioned for not loving the red trend.. but this color draws me in. I guess because it has kind of a purple tone mixed in for the Burgundy color. But that swatch was only one pass and I am really pleased with the pigmentation for one pass. I think I will be wearing this out relatively soon!
015This is a little sample photo to show you the packaging. The packaging is like this one every item, so unless you can read Korean, your better off just reading the little info card they send you with the products (like me!).

The total value of this box was $91! I can not believe the value in this box. I really wish I had hundreds of dollars to spend on these boxes. I would buy every single one of them! I suggest you go get some yourself before they sell out, because these do sell out pretty fast!

Things I’ve Been Watching Lately!

I started blogging at the wrong time I think. I had all these plans for awesome reviews, but everything I wanted to share with you isn’t coming for another few days/weeks! But tonight, I wanted to share with you the things I have been binge watching!

Sabrina, The Teenage Witch

I’M OBSESSED! When I was younger I would cry if I missed this show. But as I got older I just kept missing the ‘college’ episodes. (I’m horrible at keeping track of TV shows) Recently my mom learned how to use her Prime Instant Video, and every single season of Sabrina was on there. I watched episode after episode for days. I recently just finished the series up and I am so sad about it..

The Simpsons

I wasn’t allowed to watch this show when I was a child. So I never really got into the epic show. FXX just did a 24/7 marathon and I tried my best to watch as much as I could. I fell in love with this show. I actually have a season DVD that I borrowed from a friend (forever ago.. I’m sorry!) that I started watching.

Faking It

I like the idea of this show. But sometimes the cheesy lines are just to much to handle. But I religiously record this (THANK YOU DVR!) so I can cuddle in bed and veg.

I have followed this show from the start. I really love how this show has developed and transformed. Even as the new season (4) has started, I am still rooting for Jenna and Matty.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

I get made fun of for this, but I adore this show! The messages are super cute, and I feel like many people (even older people) can relate. You should honestly give it a chance.

The Pros & Cons Of Short Hair

Anytime when things got rough for me, I took it out on my hair. I went through a period once where I was dying my hair every few weeks. But instead of dyes, a few months ago I took a drastic step and cut off over a foot of hair off of my head. I’ve been wanting a pixie cut since I was 13, but I was never brave enough to do it. With my life seeming to be falling apart, this seemed like a pretty good solution! My mom cried while she trimmed it for me. It was a weird day. BUT, I love my short hair and I feel more confident and comfortable with who I am with shorter locks than I ever have. There are some draw backs that I never realized would happen, ones no one on youtube or IRL people had mentioned to me.

♡ PROS ♡
- 30 minute showers turn into 5-10 minute ones.

- Tired of losing hair ties? No worries! Hair ties are a thing of the past!
- You stay cool during the hottest of days when you don’t have 10 pounds of hair sitting on your neck and shoulders.
- You feel confident, brave, independent, ETC. You’ll feel amazing about yourself!
- Dying your hair is easier and cheaper when you only need one box instead of the usual 3.
- If you have kids, you will know what this is about instantly. If you don’t, here’s an image: tiny sausage fingers knotted, pulling, stuck, AND crying in your hair.

August 2014

August 2014

♡ CONS ♡
- You know that sensation people say they get when they get a body part amputated? The same thing applies to your hair when you go pixie short. PHANTOM HAIR SYNDROME.

- Hair products like mousse, gel, and hair spray are your new BFF’s.
- Styling your hair becomes a challenge. Flat or Spiked?
- You get asked why you went ‘butch’ A LOT. apparently when you cut your hair super duper short, it automatically makes you a lesbian.
- The awkward stages of growing out of a pixie cut are well… awkward.

Just remember, if you are looking at this because you are on the fence of taking the leap, ask yourself this: what is going to make you happy? Don’t let people tell you what will make you happy. If you want to do it, GO FOR IT! It’s just hair and it does grow back. Plus, it’s Halloween time, so buy yourself a wig if you want to try it or to give yourself a new identity :)

Studio Gear Cosmetics Holiday Smokey Eye Palette ♡

“Founded by industry veterans Steve Rohr and John Avolio, Studio Gear Cosmetics is a prestigous cosmetics brand featuring a full collection of professional makeup brushes, revolutionalizing complexion formulas, and a wide selection of color products for the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Since 1996, Studio Gear has been on set at hundreds of professional photo shoots, in the beauty departments of Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Dillard’s, HSN and ULTA, and also in the everyday woman’s makeup bag. This is a line created true to the concept that every woman deserves professional, high quality cosmetics at a reasonable price.”

Studio Gear sent me a lovely make up palette to review and I was super thrilled to try it! They sent me out one of their holiday palettes and oh my is it gorgeous! They sent me the Holiday Smokey Eye Palette which retails for $40.

Let me start by saying how durable this packaging is. It is in a think magnetic clasped case and the powders are actually in little metal discs for any of you who use the magnet system to hold your make ups for storage. But I love the packaging. As the saying goes “Presentation is everything!”

The top part of the case actually has a little how to look guide which is great for even an expert make up artist. I decided to kind of try out this palette with a bit of help from this, but more of my own creativity.

These are SUPER pigmented. I actually had to tone down the blush because I wasn’t expecting it to be so pigmented! But the colors are very appropriate for the holidays coming up. They almost reminded me of snow in different shades of light. And it is very long lasting. I was even outside in slushy snow for a while today and it still stuck!

Studio Gear has become my new favorite make up line for blush and eyeshadow for sure. I love the packaging and to get good pigmentation from make up anymore seems to be hard to get. Right now the palette is on sale for only $25!

Do you love this palette and want one of your own?

And be sure to use code SGHOLIDAY at checkout for a 10% discount (code does not expire!)
